Antarctic Regional Terraforming Project
Mission Statement Research Project Leads Sponsors

SPONSORS

Neo Venus Construction - As the primary sponsor of the Research Station, much of the technology being used is designed and maintained through them. Neo Venus Construction's longterm goal has always been colonization of other worlds and this Station has proven to be invaluable to that goal.

Eisenberg Research Grant - The Eisenberg family have long been supporters of the Environmental Science Community, with grants ranging from Clean Air to Alternative Fuels to Environmental Recovery after major disasters. Their support has been unwaivering.

Tourbit - Started initially as a Commercial Space Tour company, Tourbit has grown into a Major Partner for Neo Venus Construction. They have not only supplied the delivery platform for Terraforming New Worlds, but have also granted generous donations to projects like this facility.

Musseau Management Group - A leader in High Tech Investment, Musseau Management Group was one of the first partners to invest in the Antarctic Terraforming Research Project.

Baumann Corporation - A supplier for industrial construction, Baumann Corporation donated time and equipment in the building of our Station.

Converse National Laboratories - As proponents of outworld technologies, Converse National Laboratories has worked closely with Neo Venus Construction in developing and building many of the components integral to Environmental Generators.

Watson Environmental Design - Genetic crop design is one of the cornerstones to a successful mission, and Watson Environmental Design has developed many of the genetically enhanced crops that currently inhabit the grounds outside our Station.

James Technologies - Software Systems experts, James Technologies built and maintains most of the software systems that run a majority of the Station.

Symon and Bellfield - We had to mention them, management told us to.

Timeline

1991 - ARTP (Antarctic Regional Terraforming Project) chooses the site to begin groundbreaking for a new project in environmental manipulation and control.

1993 - ARTP first wave bio-facilities completed and brought online.

1994 - First longterm researchers arrive for a six month stay in the already changing environment. Average air temperatures within the research area have shown a nearly 60 degree Fahrenheit swing. Surface ice has nearly completely melted away.

1994 - Second wave researchers arrive and join the existing crew. The environment shows amazing progress with the growth of dozens of species of plantlife. The crew is growing much of its own food at this stage.

1996 - One project's main environmental generators fails. This is nearly catastrophic to the Project, resulting in a nearly 2 year setback in the environment's growth.

1999 - The Project exceeds previous size records, but eventually holds steady at 22 acres of growth.

2001 - Regional growth holds steady at 22 acres with no major fluctuations for a full 2 year term. Plant and animal life now contributes greatly to the environment's maintenance. Environmental Generators no longer need to run at full capacity to maintain environment.

2003 - New Environmental Generators are installed. The new models are smaller in size and take less energy to maintain. Some growth in the environment size is observed, but the net result is considered negligible.
